Terms of Service
Last updated October 10, 2026
Keel is an early-stage pilot project, not a finished commercial product, operated by me, Cord Slatton (Catsylvania Software is the name I use for this work; it is not a registered company). These terms cover using Keel in that pilot state and will be revisited before any wider release. By signing in and using Keel, you agree to what's below. If you don't agree, don't use it.
What Keel is right now
Keel is an AI assistant that turns a goal into a plan and, with your approval, carries out steps of that plan on systems you connect to it: posting content, calling an API, changing a page, sending a message. It is a working-in-the-open pilot for a small, known group of early users. It is provided "as is," without guarantees about uptime, correctness or fitness for any particular purpose. Things may break, change or be reset without notice while it is being built.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for what happens under your account. Don't share access to your account with people it isn't meant for. You must be at least 18 years old to use Keel.
Systems you connect
When you give Keel credentials for a system, you confirm that you are allowed to use that system in the way you are asking Keel to, and that you are allowed to hand those credentials to a tool acting on your behalf. If you operate Keel for someone else's business or site, that includes having their permission. Keel stores credentials encrypted and uses them only to carry out steps you approve.
Keel acts on your approval
Keel drafts before it acts and shows you the draft. Approving a step tells Keel to make that change, right then, with the credentials you gave it. Review a draft before you approve it; once a change has reached your system, Keel cannot always take it back. Where Keel knows a step cannot be reversed, it says so first and asks you to accept that risk; accepting it means you take responsibility for the outcome. Check your systems afterwards.
AI output
Keel's plans, drafts, explanations and actions are produced by an AI model. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and the model can misread what a system sent back. You are responsible for reviewing what Keel proposes before approving it and for the results in your systems. Nothing Keel says is legal, tax, medical, financial or compliance advice. Keel flags some regulated situations (health data, payments, minors, EU visitors) to remind you to check; a flag, or the lack of one, is not a compliance determination.
Costs
During the pilot, Keel pays for the AI work it does for you, up to an allowance on your account; when the allowance runs out, Keel stops doing AI work until it is raised. If you add your own Anthropic API key, Anthropic bills you for every call made on it, at Anthropic's prices, and those charges are yours. If you connect Keel to your own Claude account, Anthropic's terms for that account apply to what Claude does there.
What you use Keel for
Use Keel for lawful purposes, on systems you are allowed to act on. Don't use it to submit unlawful content, to harm anyone, to disrupt the service, or to reach data you aren't authorized to see. Keel may decline, redirect or add warnings to plans it judges unsafe or unlawful, and I may suspend an account that misuses it.
No guarantee of continued access
Because this is a pilot, features, data and the service itself may change or be discontinued at any time. If Keel is ever shut down or a pilot account is removed, reasonable notice will be given where practical.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Keel is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, for lost profits or data, or for the results of changes Keel made to your systems at your approval, arising from your use of this pilot software. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use Keel, which during the pilot is nothing.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which I reside. Any dispute will be handled in the courts there.
Changes to these terms
Material changes will be called out here with a new "last updated" date. The October 2026 update describes what Keel actually does now: acting on connected systems with your approval, AI output, costs on your own key, the Claude connection, and the age limit.
